The world is more crowded than it looks.
Hidden doors. Messages in plain sight. Small creatures holding very still, hoping you'll walk past. Most people stop noticing somewhere around their thirteenth birthday — and never notice anything properly again.
The Society exists because someone has to keep watch.

Our recruiting officers identify promising Noticers through field observation. Recruitment letters are dispatched by post, and by post alone.
If a letter has reached you: congratulations, agent — and get to work. Your Site Supervisor holds your first assignment.
If no letter has reached you: keep noticing things. We may be watching.

- N–4471 Elevated Filchling activity reported nationwide. Agents finding single socks are reminded to log hoard-site coordinates, not merely to complain.
- N–4468 A Muddler is believed responsible for the widespread relocation of television remotes. Investigation continues.
- N–4462 Agents are reminded: any letter instructing you to keep secrets from your Site Supervisor is a forgery of the Mischief. Report it at once. Commendations follow.
